The game is due for release on the 20th of February and I personally can't wait.

The story is set between SFII and SFIII. I believe this was done to so that the old character list of SFII could return without crazy plot holes in the story.

Street Fighter IV features models and backgrounds rendered in 3D but the gameplay remains on a traditional 2D plane. Producer Yoshinori Ono has stated that he wanted to keep the game closer to Street Fighter II. A new system called "Focus Attacks" ("Saving Attack" for the Japanese version) has been introduced, as well as Ultra moves. The traditional six-button control scheme returns, with new features and special moves integrated into the input system, mixing classic gameplay with additional innovations.

The game has a very similar feel to Super Street Fighter II Turbo, but also has several features from Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. Pressing both light attack buttons is still for throwing, and both heavy attack buttons are for the personal action or taunts. Both medium attack buttons are for the focus strike. Dashes and quick standing are also in the game.

The US Collectors Edition has been announced, I am assuming that the European one will not be much different:

1. The game
2. A limited-edition figurine – Ryu in the PS3 box, C. Viper with the 360 box.
3. Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind: a 65 minute anime movie that sets up the story of SFIV by explaining events post-SFII. BluRay disc in the PS3 box! The Xbox version is a 360 game disc that outputs the movie at 720P, not a DVD.
4. A mini-strategy guide from Prima, written by the same people doing the full-on guide and illustrated by Udon Comics
5. CD soundtrack.
6. Additional downloadable content

You know what SF3 just went past me and never even played it - so looking forward to SF4 - no Ryu or Guile = no play from me

I saw the special edition at a pretty good price for the PS3 yesterday, unfortunately its gone back up from £39.95 to £59.99 today.

I'll probably get the 360 version because it will be what my friends get, but the PS3 CE is better in my opinion (For the Blu-ray and Ryu)

Now you see because the collectors edition is priced at a very unreasonable £69.99 that makes me sad. What a silly price to charge!

considering the standard edition is £40 cheaper!

I'm cancelling my standard edition and waiting until the limited edition comes down in price.

I so badly want to play this game, actually just been watching some gameplay videos. Shame there have been no arcade machines in the UK

Still, got SSF2THDR to keep me amused.

I hope the special edition does become more reasonably priced.

I can't wait for this. I spent my life in the early 90's playing SF2 and this looks the perfect follow up (At last)
I will be buying an XBox and Arcade stick just to play it.

That stick is modelled on the stick used in the arcade cabinet, but its expected to have quite a high price, with few made.

I liked my Hori stick, just wish I hadn't sold it now.

The EU version comes with what looks like a smaller version of teh ryu model posted above and one of the new bint, viper afaik.

I've not been keeping an eye on preorder prices as well as I normally do, I missed that

Cheapest I can find is £59.99. Not payin that tbh.

I'd be tempted by the stick if it was say 30-40 any rmoe and it just wont be worth it, they should do a 6 button pad too for the early console fans ^^

Might just keep an eye out for a 2nd hand hori stick

The normal edition is already 29.99 delivered online. The premium edition is around double in price

Might save the extra money and splash out on the joystick (after I see some reviews) if it is better than the Hori one I have.

Do you have problems with the Hori one?
The Mad Catz one is $150, I have no idea if it is getting a release here.
