I am thinking of buying the 4850 512MB and wondered if it would be suitable for my computer. I have been using it currently with a 8800GT 512MB no problems. Here are my specs:

Intel Pentium D 820 Dual Core Processor by ADVENT the model number is Advent T9107

2.8GHz Dual Core 800MHz FSB, 2 x 1MB Cache
Windows vista Home premium + SP1
2056MB DDR RAM (2x1GB sticks)
500GB Hard Disk Drive/ 2 Partitions
DVD Drive
512MB Nvidia 8800 GT
6-in-1 Media Card Reader
4 USB 2.0 Connections

Many thanks in advance

Im sure you'll get Crysis running on ultra graphics, its got 2GB of RAM!

Did you get the DVD drive out of it then?

What size monitor are you playing on? Think at low res the only difference will be the amount of aa levels you can put on.

you need a better CPU otherwise you're wasting money upgrading graphics cards. What you'll find is that your 8800GT will be bottlenecked by your CPU. So if you want to upgrade your system. forget the graphics card for now, and concentrate on your CPU and RAM
