how easy is it to rewire one of these, all it needs is a new facia.

is it something ic an do, or do i ahve to get the BT man out?

Is it the main point of entry to the house? or an extension from the main box?

All you should need to know is where all the different wires go into. Just have a look at the current configuration, then when you get that new socket just copy where how's the wiring's done. From experience i can say its not difficult so you should be able to do it yourself really

Provided you by a facplate that uses screws to hold the wires and not punch downs you'll be fine.
