Customs cracking down on fake components??

If hes not got proof of delivery then hes ( the seller ) liable to refund your money. Its HIS problem if he doesnt send it recorded, not yours.

Just file a dispute and point out that you have not recieved it. Paypal/ebay will ask him for his proof of delivery and of course he wont have it as it wasnt signed for or delivered.

You paid for the described product to be delivered to you, that hasnt happened so hes not entitled to your money. The fact that he didnt send it insured or tracked is HIS problem not yours. He shouldnt send stuff inunsured if hes not prepared to loose out if it gets lost.

yeah this seems like the most logical step I would take with paypal. They will ask the seller for proof of delivery, and If he cannot prove that it was delivered to you, then paypal will reverse the payment.

it was tracked though. just not insured. That's how i know what happened to it, i used parcel forces tracking number and they told me.

But then it will still show you havent recived it as the tracking will not say it was delivered

exactly, the tracking will show that it was not delivered. So Paypal will refund the payment. At the end of the day, niether you, nor the selling has done anything wrong (bar the selling not sending the package securely) So do your damnedest to make sure you don't come out worse off.

paypal pretty much always side with the buyer from what ive heard, even if they are to blame!

a friend of mine had to pay someone back after something got allegedly damaged in the post, i suspect something iffy was going on, but paypal wouldnt listen, imediately sided with the buyer.

Give it a shot mate, you got nothing to lose

Dont feel like its in ANY way your fault for not paying extra for insured postage. If the seller doesnt send it insured thats his problem not yours, he should include it in the price if thats how he wants to send it.

At the end of the day you paid for something he has not given you so you are entitled to be refunded, by ebay/paypal in this instance. Unless he can prove it was delivered they will side with you ( eventually ).

Agree with all of the above, hence why I recommended the Paypal Resolution centre or whatever it's called. Would be very surprised at a negative outcome.

worst comes to worst you dont get the money back, so why not try and reclaim it, if you aint bothered about the cash, do it and hopefully get refunded and just send me the money :D i would appreciate it loads :D
