Have been thinking about this recently. This is my list.

Oasis - WTS Morning Glory, Definitely Maybe.
Tool - Lateralus, 10,000 days.
Prodigy - Fat Of The Land, Jilted Generation.
Killswitch Engage - Alive or Just Breathing, maybe End Of Heartache.
Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible, maybe Everything Must Go.

Others, hmmm, maybe some Opeth albums, also possibily The Beatles -Revolver,...

arvo pärt - fratres et al (little, roscoe)
atdi - Relationship Of Command
Beans - Shock City Maverick
captain beefheart trout mask replica
jeru the damaja - wrath of math
joanna newsom - the milk-eyed mender
radiohead - kid a
souls of mischief - '93 til infinity
Tom Waits - franks wild years

There are others but it's useless trying to remember anything lol.

Off the top of my head:

Massive Attack - Mezzanine
The Prodigy - The Fat of the Land
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (listen to this with the Wizard of Oz running!).

Moving Mountains - Pneuma / Foreword (Amazing stuff in my opinion)
On A Dead Machine - Volume 2 Stop Thief
Tool - Ænima/Lateralus

Again, totally baffled by the inclusion of Fat of the Land.

Serial Thriller and Fuel My Fire are highly dubious, and Narayan and Climbatize feel like filler.

Mark Lanegan - Whiskey For The Holy Ghost
Tom Waits - The Heart Of Saturday Night
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood, Suger, Sex, Magic

Weezer - Pinkerton

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape

Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker

Elliott Smith - Either/Or (Although I could have put any of his albums here)

Biffy Clyro - Vertigo of Bliss

Those of you who like Mars Volta,
Biffy Clyro, and anything of the like should seriously consider this album:

Marvin's Revolt - killec.

Seriously it is perfect. I don't know if my listening experience was enhanced by seeing them perform the album live prior to hearing it. It was one of the best gigs I've ever been to in terms of performance, musicianship and charisma.

Give it a go

Emperor - IX Equilibrium

I used to prefer this over Prometheus, but now i much prefer Prometheus. It's the bridge bit in Depraved that does it. It's one of the most powerful crushing guitar parts iv'e ever heard in a song.

I still love Equilibrium though, my favourite track on that is The Source of Icon E

I'm still struggling to get into Prometheus! I love The Eruption, Empty and Depraved but haven't given the others too much listening time really.

Big fan of Sworn and Nonus Aequilibrium on IX though, the guitar work is mad. :)

Its a challenging album to get into, give it some graft boy!:p Makes great headphone music. The layers in the recording are insane too; solos on solos on rythm on massive drumming.

When I think of a "perfect" album I mean, I wouldn't skip a track from this lot.

Metallica - Master Of Puppets
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell
Sylosis - Conclusion Of An Age
Killswitch Engage - Alive Or Just Breathing
In Flames - The Jester Race
Machine Head - The Blackening
Arch Enemy - Anthems Of Rebellion
Mendeed - This War Will Last Forever

I'll throw one album in for now:

Mono and World's End Girlfriend - Palmless Prayer / Mass Murder Refrain

An unequivocal masterpiece.
