I havnt had a solid answer from anyone on this yet, so I'll make a seperate post.

Do we know when the GTX 295 will 'actually be on sale' in the UK and @ OcUK ?

I know its out tomorrow, but will it be available to us then ?

Ta

If the NDA is lifted tomorrow then they will be on sale tomorrow. Nvidia cards always have been availavble to buy at 2pm on the release day. No doubt OcUK already has them in the warehouse ready to go

Excellent, that's what I wanted to hear :D

I'm gonna predict less than 20 in stock, less than 500 they'll ever sell, at £550 or more and not much faster than a 4870x2 except in like 2-3 games where it will have a massive lead, likewise the 4870x2 will have a large lead in a few games.

Aw I think that paints a pretty dull picture, for I 'think' it will retail for a lot less than £550, if nvidia know whats good for them anyway. I think they will sell well and it should be faster than the 4870x2 it most if not all situations.

Their seems to be a general opinion that the 295 is a bit of a marketing release. Fast enough to beat out the X2 but only available in minuscule numbers due to NV having to cherry pick parts that wont melt under the stress of being in such a confined space.

I wouldn't say no to one though.

Think it was in Guru3Ds review, which showed it to be significantly faster in all games, and destroyed the X2 in one or two.

Well your wrong on at least one of those from the start. :p

Wasnt it hinted in the guru3d review that it would be slightly less/the same as a 4870x2 forcing them to lower the price on that?
