So why isn't the gtx260 216 going down in price o.O hmm doesn't make sense that they're roughly the same price, but gtx 280 has better performance..

Yes but surely they should be dumping the 65nm stock? People already have the 55nm 260.

They are still called 260 not like the 285's so they will just sell them as normal just like cpu and different stepping (yes i know you some times pay more for the new stepping).

i spent so long deciding what would be the best choice, and less than 4 days later the prices of GTX280's fly down to the same level. Im stunned as to how bad ones luck can be. im disgusted, horrified.

now im watching people buy a much better card for the same price i got a 260:mad:

They really aren't better enough to worry about it. I think my 216 ssc was noticably faster than my 280oc.

To the extent that I'm very tempted to bay it or dsa it and wait for the new cards.

Meh, I will probably end up getting a 295 towards the end of its life anyway.

If you want to know the best thing, I am currently gaming on a 17" CRT at 1024 x 768. Most intensive game I play is L4D. :D

400fps to 490fps I think.

Currently seeing if anything can be done on the Point of View pricing for anyone who missed the Leadtek, Gainward, Asus, Zotac and BFG offers. Struggling to get the price to where you all want it to be. :(

GTX 280 at 1024x768...

I suppose Crysis should be pretty damned near playable on your comp! :p

I am waiting to find the right 24" screen for me, the GX3 NEC is my fav so far but I don't like the surround.

Samsung have some new models due and those could be good. Just happy enough on this old monster for a while. Keeps me warm at least!

Have not even opened the card up yet, will probably leave it ontop of my PC for a week before I get round to installing it. My 8800 Ultra was unused for two weeks before it replaced my 7800 GT SLi setup.
