This has just been on the news...I am cacking it that I'm gonna lose my job now. I work for a supplier and we have virtually nothing to do. been lots of talk about 3 day weeks for the whole of 2009. Gonna be an announcement where i work this afternoon after the Nissan announcement.

Another supplier announced 300 jobs to go on Monday.

Ther are very few jobs about and theres gonna be lots of unemployed blokes with similar skills/experience to me trying to get them :(

im sat at work reading the forums all day....wonder how long mine will last.
there just isnt much to do.

i think they said something along the lines of giving the long term unemployed community work....or something along those lines.
im hoping i dreamt that tho as it seems a bit harsh to be treated like a criminal if u cant find work.

If they paid a fair wage for it (i.e. inline with what current council employees get for doing that job) then I honestly wouldn't mind doing litter picking etc. I'm currently on JSA and absolutely hate it, but here's hoping, I have an interview tomorrow morning. :)

Here's to hoping the axe doesn't fall for either of you lads anyway. The best of luck.
