***Carling Cup Semi Final Spoilers***

Foster must be awful.

Didn't catch the game last night so have to go off other peoples comments and sites, but apparently Scholes, Anderson and unsurprisingly, Gibson were awful and Vidic was perhaps the only decent player on the pitch.

Poor show really.

If it is a Man Utd and Spurs final, if Utd win does the UEFA cup slot go to Spurs or the league? Assuming Utd will get in the Champions league.

They got Chelsea sunday, so a performance like last night then, well its not going to look pretty for united. Chelsea have been superb away from home this season too.

Tevez and Welbeck where ok- but supply was dreadful - after Rooney came on it was a little better but not much

same pattern as the other night then when we cheated*, ahem i mean won convincingly 3-0 .

i dont know if fergie is unable to motivate the current set of players or what but dang i havent seen much sloppier performances than that this season. could they cross a ball between the lot of em? no chance.

welbeck, gibson, boith fairly terrible all round really. dont want to bring up how badly Evans played that night either.

have the players no talent, a lack of pride? do they not feel that as european champions they have to prove smething every match?

*okay it was the ref who cheated southampton, but you know what i mean;.

do they not feel that as european champions they have to prove smething every match?

Oh goody your back \o/

Why would they need to prove anything in a CC game against Derby when they are like you said European Champions ?

Add that to Premier League Champions and World Champions, they don't need to prove anything, well.......maybe to the all knowing Nickg.

At the end of the day it was the Carling Cup no one really gives a **** about it

I think someone should break the bank and get Carlos Queiroz back at the club because we need him, and need him back quick.

I don't think it will be long tbh, he's struggling like a ****

We also need that little Portuguese fitness coach back because we look knackered after 65 minutes nowadays

Welbeck is hardly terrible, he played pretty well against Soton.

trust me, i dont have a time machine but i dont envisage him at UTD in 5 years scoring 30 a season. maybe you see something in him that i dont:/

Why would they need to prove anything in a CC game against Derby when they are like you said European Champions ?

firstly because it wasnt the first team, you would have thought an aspiring footballer would want to play fantastically on any occasion they get a proper run out in front of the fans, manager, in a meaningful competetive game? league champs yes, but come on i didnt mention how the squad played last season - the point is this season they have that reputation to defend, along with the title. so far they are not doing a fantastic job.

sure they dont need to prove anything, they can play terrible all season with no passion. that will take us far, but certainly not the the champs league final, nor to the top of the premier.

Personally i think a major contributing factor has been the absence of Evra, with john wood o'shea at LB he's not exactly the attacking kind you need, compound this with neville on the other flank the prooblems become apparently very quickly. You just have to watch the matches, no invention, no cut nor thrust, not even a decent ball into the box.

Watch berbatov, half the time (after he has started the attack with an amazing pass) he will just stop running because he knows deep down that the rest of the team will completely screw it up and waste any opportunity that could have come from it. (just review the last 30mins of So'Ton if you disbelieve. Sure he may have been tired but if you cant see the frustration in his body language, against a 2nd rate 10 man team, we just couldnt pull anything together. )

also reference Soton for rooneys rage and rampage when he comes on. he can hardly believe what the team is doing, giving them the ear blast and circilar waving arms motin to try and lift them (should this really be needed in FA Cup with the prospect of a standout win on the cards?)

i ask more questions than i answer, but you can gladly go along with the herd head "we're the champs of england, europe, the world" etc. un/fortunately you probably wont be able to say this next season.

European supercup? mickey mouse you may say. Pride and for the clean sweep says i.

firstly because it wasnt the first team

So what exactly are you moaning about then?

That out reserve team got beat by a Championship team?

They could played a blinder that night and they still wouldn't get in the team over the first 11.

You ask more questions because you're a glass half full kinda bloke, I've seen you post drivel after we have won games 4-5 nil, "We should have scored 9" he cries

I for one don't take anything you say seriously, I could pick your post to bits but tbh I really can't be arsed, same old same old

Its all a trick to get chelsea overconfident for sunday and United rested.

United know they can destroy derby at old trafford.

I think someone should break the bank and get Carlos Queiroz back at the club because we need him, and need him back quick.

I said when people thought Ronaldo would be going that Queiroz was the biggest possible loss. We struggled when we lost him before (at least until big Walter stepped in), but Phelan isn't the right man for the job.
