GTX280 on PCI-e x16?

will my motherboard (Abit-P35) restrict the card as it only has pci-e x16 on it? or will it be ok till i upgrade my motherboard when i get a bit more cash?

excellent stuff, got a 8800GT TOP from Asus and its a good card but struggling on the high res's and looking to get a 280GTX
