Perhaps some people don't wish to play it every week and instead choose to play it on "special" occasions, like people who only put money on the Grand National and not the normal races throughout the year?
Nothing hard to understand about that.
Bah too late to buy
Hope it rolls over
Out of interest, do people here think that your chances of winning the euromillions jackpot are lower than the national lottery because more people play the game?
Of course it is, however, some who don't normally play are probably well aware that the chance of winning is tiny and decide to have "a flutter" when the jackpot is high, as it is tonight, rather than spend money on every draw. But it's not really a special occasion that can be compared to the Grand National. It's like every other draw.

I could understand if your theorey was true but I don't believe it is. I honestly believe that people only do it because of the high figure with the mindset that any lesser figure wouldn't be worth wasting their couple of quid on.
