The Officially Unofficial Street Fighter IV (I want to talk about this game) Thread

I'd be tempted by the stick if it was say 30-40 any rmoe and it just wont be worth it, they should do a 6 button pad too for the early console fans ^^

They are doing a cheaper version of the stick, which has a lower quality stick (apparently) and they are also doing a number of these:

The arcade stick is the only way forward i can see and that puts me off buying the game. If i could get the arcade stick + game for £100 i would consider it stronly. The videos look immense.

Do you have problems with the Hori one?
The Mad Catz one is $150, I have no idea if it is getting a release here.

No problems with the Hori one, but always on the lookout for a better joystick :)

There are 2 Madcatz models for each 360 and PS3.

A "Fightstick" priced at $70 and a "Tournament" stick at $150.

The Hori only cost me 17.99 so don't mind getting a second one.

Cool, cheers.

I saw the cheaper version of the stick when I was looking at the pads.

I will wait to see some hardware reviews unless there is some sort of special offer.

That stick is modelled on the stick used in the arcade cabinet, but its expected to have quite a high price, with few made.

I had a Capcom stick for SF2 on the SNES and it awesome for pulling off specials. Moving your thumb around a D-pad just isn't the same.

I'll get one from the US if they don't sell over here.

I might wait for that stick - though only prepared to pay £50-£75 really...

Just glad its using proper arcade parts and not anything MadCatz have cooked up - though you have to wonder if its worth the difference compared to the Hori sticks which use the same parts manufacturer...

There is another cheaper SF4 Madcatz stick which is a bit smaller and uses standard parts.

I'm expecting the Tournament Edition stick to cost between £100-£120

2 UK sites (competitors) were taking pre-orders last 2 days (I think) but have stopped now.

The prices......Wait for it......

RRP: £149.99 for the Tournament Edition (PS3 or 360)
RRP: £69.99 for the Normal Edition (PS3 or 360)

The site I saw was selling for about £120 and £55 quid each but still very pricey imo.

(btw a few places are taking pre-orders for the joypads as well)

I defo want a TE stick but am getting anxious that I'm going to miss out.

The site I was hoping on had a banner earlier today saying ‘Pre-orders coming soon’ but has now changed it to ‘Pre-orders Temporarily Suspended’.

:(

P.S : rp2000, i've sent you a message through Trust.
