Windows 7 beta - 9th January

Hmm, i'm having problems installing the 8.12 ati drivers. I installed them before, rebooted and when the pc came back online again W7 installed the generic built in drivers! Now when i'm trying to install the 8.12s again its just hanging on "Detecting basic system configuration". Anyone else experienced this?
I dunno if any one has mentioned this, have a look around there is an AMD Windows 7 driver preview pack.

Quick noob question here, does the Win7 installation menu let you set up a new partition or do you have to do this before you start installing?

I've never messed around with partitions before (always use a seperate physical disk) but at the moment i only have my os drive and a raid 1 array so i'm going to have to split the OS drive.

Okay well i tried running the installion and there were no options to create a new partition on the OS disk. How can i go about creating a new partition in Vista (Home Premium 32bit)? My OS drive is 80gb with approx 56gb free atm.

TIA!

EDIT: Is the 'shrink' option under disk management what i'm looking for? If so i'm not sure what's up but it says it can only shrink the drive by 10gb :/

Got the ISO, took 9h lol. But now i cant get the key :(

I managed to get to the point where you sign in with your ms-live details but that was when the site was overly busy and it died shortly after. Hopefully i will have a key assigned to my email :/

I gave up trying to get a key at 8 o'clock last night. Up bright and early to get the missus off to work so have been F5's since then. Seems to be pretty dead now the page refreshes instantly with the pop back tomorrow message. Could be because it's still pretty early in the west coast. Perhaps 10am will be a good time as long as there are some keys left.
Has anyone managed to get one recently? The conformation email link is producing a 404 now too.

Just clicked that link in Firefox and I'm now grabbing a 2.4Gb image of the x86 install, so something is wrong where you are musicman.
