I don't plan on every having the OCUK tag in my name and I host the OCUK group servers so...meh.

I might create an extra server that is limited to people in the OCUK group but I'll stress now that it obviously will NOT require you to have [OcUK] in your name - you'll just need to be a member of the OCUK L4D group (which as we all know, is publicly joinable).

Am re-testing now, only got the bots for company though, so it may be a while before i can get to chapter 3 on expert.

If anyone fancies giving me a hand, they would be very welcome :-)
 
I really do hope some more campaigns will be released soon, or maybe add a few extra maps in the current ones to give them longer playtime or make things interesting, cause its starting to get a little bit boring. Although that is mainly my own fault for playing this game almost everyday for long hours.

Still, learning about a few exploits or different ways to do about the end maps with the horde phases is interesting, and Versus mode is fun as always, just a shame I can't always stay as Infected. :D

Edit: Connection to the server timed out just after you left from the console. If it was just me seeing this I would think that it is something on my connection, but it also affects the other players on the server too at exactly the same time. Is there anything in the server logs about errors? - check timestamp 23-07 for the latest connection error

Had a good match just a moment ago too with some of the guys, finally first time as tank without dying on rooftop !!! and I killed some people WOO!



Also anyone use Hunter's walljump?


Very handy for trick jumps!
 
Tell me is performance in the full game as good as it was in the demo?

Id like to know as the demo ran at 60fps for me which was very playable.
 
Spudgun - it's [OcUK]MDK here. I'm sure it's time-related then as opposed to game position-related. Have you got times by chance for the crashes? If not try timing the next go. I should be around tonight to assist / test.
 
What's the SP Campaign mode like in this game, fun?.

I know it's pretty much meant to be played online, but I was just curious as to what single player was like in it.

Single player is fine for learning the maps etc and the bots are fairly capable but you will always become the leader of your group in single player.

The bots will follow, heal you, take out zombies and help you up etc but you miss out on that feeling when your down to 2HP that you would love one of your mates to take the lead. The bots will just let you lead on 2HP.

When you die with another human player the game continues and he can often make it to your respawn point so you can join in again, in single player if you die thats it game over.

Expert single player is just a no go, you have to do all the work which is like playing with Rob in MP :)

I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy the game for a single player experience, thats not to say its terrible its just to say that playing online with OcUKers makes the game sublime.

Oh and by the way, playing with randoms isnt half bad either, theres somethin about joining a server with 4 strangers in a zombie apocalypse that feels so right. It actually feels like your 4 complete strangers who happened to find each other. And in that sense the one thing playing with randoms has over playing with mates is that you just have no idea how a game will go. Will one of them be a mental who runs off by himself, will one want to be so painfully slow that the director will single him out all the time.

Will one be so panicky that he shoots everything that moves including you?

You get my meaning i hope this game is just superb in everything apart from single player mode :)
