Windows 7 beta - 9th January

That util seems useful, it came up with the change sound after a while but was displaying the error still.
I guess if it somehow changed from the key anyway I'll get an email eventually, its just displaying the error for 40 mins now

Also got the 64 bit download ok but the 32 bit version resumed 14 times before finally dying altogether. I guess 64 bit is ok but i only have 2 gig anyway



It just did it again, brought the page to the front with bowie sound but its just an error and its stopped. I think that if I go back agian it'll display the search page like before however I have ticked the box to continue through browsing away
 
Another success for the c4c FF tactic, took an hour or two, then 2 pages came up fine xD.

Is there a working 32 bit download yet? the MS one seems to stop randomly :confused:

that's what it's meant to do, something changed so it alerted you and stopped. The same will happen when the key appears. Just open loads of tabs with it running.

ok to clarify that plug in

if you want it to ignore the error pages and only stop when you actually get a key do the following:

open "https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/productkeys/win7-64/enus/default.aspx" in a tab.

when the busy message comes up highlight the following text:

The site is currently experiencing technical difficulties, please check back in the next business day.

right click that text and in the menu go to check4change

select custom put 3 seconds in the top box and be sure to check the box for "allow navigation away from this page", it's the last option and it will not be there if you don't select custom.

click OK

if you do it just like that then if you get the weird error/search page it will ignore it and when it does it's next cycle it will be back at the original page again.

the only time it will alert you is if the text on the original page changes which would be when you get the key.

so setup like that you can fire and forget it

Anyone got a MD5 Checksum for the 32-bit iso from Microsoft? (or link to the official 32-bit iso that works).

Yep I did the custom option and its working for about an hour now, search pages and all but twice its stopped for some reason.
Not sure why but just saying in case others get the same and wonder

Going to wash the car, if it dont work I'll try the twenty tabs thing :eek:
 
what's the link for the download/key? i'm now getting this when i go the link on page 1
