What's the best TV I can get for around £400 bearing in mind there are sales on. I'd like either a 32" or 37".

At the moment the 37LG3000 seems like the best choice, any other recommendations?

Im in a similair boat to your, although I may stretch to £500.

Been looking at the Panasonic TX32LXD80 which can be had for £350 from RS. Seems to have been reviewed well. There's also the Toshiba 37CV505B for £400, the LG 37LF75 and the LG 37LY95.

Sorry I can't help more. I'm trying to decide too!

Ant

I'm a fan of Panasonic TVs, they offer good user interfaces and are generally of good quality.

That's the one I just bought today, looks awesome, setup was easy and the sound isn't *that* bad either. Only had it switched on for about an hour so I'll try and write a mini review later. I wanted a panny but alas there where none in stock. This LG was on sale at RS.

paid £300 for my Sammy 32" a while back and very happy...just took the time to set it up properly and it's a cracking picture for the price...but I'd try and go and see thm in the flesh if I could...

Also looking at the TX32LXD8. I had a look today and it is superb. Also, teleworldplc sells it cheaper when you consider postage :)

Finding it excellent, the picture colours are natural with a brilliant sense of depth, all the other TVs I looked at in that price range looked really flat and oversaturated but I'd imagine that could be changed in the settings. Freeview looks very good on it too even though it is being upscaled and HDTVs are notorious for poor SD quality. No visible pixellation on HD material, the X360 looks great with games and DVDs. Freeview has some pixellation but nothing I'd be concerned about, you'll get this with any HDTV and it's down to the low bit rates that broadcasters use for digital TV.

All in all couldn't be happier with the set.

I bought a DX80 over the weekend, and I gotta say I'm well impressed. I sit quite close to it when I'm using my PC and I can't see any pixellation while gaming on my xbox, well worth the 360 I paid for it

This thread interests me too, as I'm currently building an HTPC and need some recommendations for a suitable tv to match.

I have tried hooking up my wife's little Shuttle box to our 22 inch lcd, but the picture is just awful! :(

What sort of resolution should I be looking for?
