New Live Messenger - pretty cool!

Well, I downloaded it earlier today and since then it's just annoyed me. I think I've turned off most of the new features and re-configured whats left to look like the old one.

But meh, I'll get used to it. Not the greatest upgrade I've ever done.

Been running the beta for sometime and I don't like this new one, on my laptop I struggle to fit the msn window on screen, where as the existing one fits perfectly.

 it looks a bit like amsn or emsene but with good vista based themes! :D

And this firefox thing is finally a good addition!

Yeah small things to get excited about but for once msn is doing well (im still a little hurt after the day they made me "upgrade" from 7.5 with my uber nudge thing back in the day)

Made a thread earlier but had no replies yet, just wondering if anyone has had problems getting it working on Vista Ultimate x64? I can't even sign in using the new version, just get an app crash and the program stops responding.

just to confirm, working fine on my Ulty 64bit aswell

Is it possible to view contacts by their email address?

If so could someone post a pic of their contact list in email address form to confirm?

Thanks

Neil

lol cheeky?

Anyway, I like this new msn. Found it very handy the email now opens in firefox. Mainly just like the new look.

i'm not bashing or trolling..

but since i've moved to pidgin, i've never looked back, no need to run an extra program to remove the stupid ads, and it loads up instantly instead of the sluggish way that WLM does :)

I get the error message 'We are unable to run audio and video setup' when I try to run AV setup, anyone know how to fix?

I would move to Pidgin but I've found there are a few things it doesn't do quite as well as WLM. :(

i think the new messenger is a hog at resources i've seen it use upto 60MB of memory.... also it instantly starts up another process called wlc or something. I prefer the old msn. :'(
