Which power supply for i7, and GTX 280 SLI.

It should be enough but if I was you I would give myself some headroom and go for the 750. £17 more but allows you to go Tri-SLI in the future :)

i wouldnt buy tri sli!!! I have a 24" 1920 x 1200 monitor. But im already strapped for cash £17 is a lot for me

i know that i probably dont need 2 280's but i WANT TWO!!!

Strapped for cash and yet your going for i7 and paying the premium of new tech.
Personally I would wait. Your setup will last you another year or two. Save up the money and buy it when you can afford the luxury of having the new tech.

What do you use your computer for anyways?

ok, i buy the i7 by selling my current system while it still has good value. I have been offered £900 for my current system which i would not get in 1 or 2 years. I use the pc for gaming. But if i dont change to i7 now i wont be able to.

Then you're a fool. You do not need two 280's to run a 24" panel. All you're doing is wasting money and producing more heat.

Then go ahead and waste your money. Stating that £17 is a lot of money for you and then wanting a second 280 to top a benchmark, I think you're off your rocker.

Then go out and spend your money on alcohol and weed instead of on a GFX card that you don't need. I used to have SLI as it was a "cool" thing to have. Having one card is miles better and I doubt I'll ever have SLI again unless I can pick up an 8800 GTX for less then £70. Even then I'll only do that if my rig starts to struggle.
