Hey Guys, am wondering if you could help. Read a review on HDTV regarding the Panasonic TH50-series and they stated that plasmas buzz a little and obviously they have fans.

My question is, would I be able to hear these from 6 feet away? Not got particularly sensitive hearing btw...

It's the only thing stopping me from ordering :)

thanks

Si

Not really no, its a mild hum at most unless you can a dodgy one, and you cant hear this above standard tv volumes.

How did you like the panny when you went to see it?

Well I have read that sometimes you can hear the PZ fans going.

Buzz whos knows, really it does depend on so many factors and you won't find out until you setup your specific set in your own room and listen to it yourself from your own seating position.

For example I hear my Kuro buzz, but I didn't in the showroom. But I have mine closer to a wall than in the showroom, am in a new build crappy flat with partition wall behind it, laminated floor and loads of reflective surfaces, and I also sit dead on and have very sensitive hearing.

If the fans might bother you then go for the Kuro, no fan noise here and I'm sure they are only there for display purposes :D :D :D

I'll switch em out for Deltas :D

Think am gonna go for one, it's a blind buy but at £859 I can't resist. Unable to find one locally that's setup well, and didn't wanna just take the one at *****'* as gospel (crap feed, not calibrated etc etc)

Gonna order :D

OMG competitor, ban this...................... wait a sec :D

Deltas are recommended, if you put enough in there is no need for wall mounting, it will just float against the wall ;)
