Autistic teenager kicked baby in the face

tbh if it was my child i would have broke the retards jaw, thats just unacceptable no matter how special he is.

Dude, if you continue to troll threads with this attitude you seem to be having then you honestly won't last long @ these forums, if you want to be a part of this place then fine, but just tone it down a bit please.

My lil bro is autistic.

17 years on this earth, teaching him, living with him, learning with him, being with him tells me that no court, no investigation, no institutionalised therapy would be able to understand why or how this guy did what he did.

It also tells me that no incarceration, no punishment, or segregation would recitify anything.

You have to know the guy to know what to do, and i'm 99% sure you just have to talk with him and he'll be ever so remorseful and ashamed and it will never happen again. Quite simply put the only people who can do anything are this guy's family and friends. The government and the rest of society are useless as they just are always unintentionally blind to the specifics and are just inept at communicating.

Put simply when it comes to mental difficulties i've heard some of the most arrogant, dumb, ignorant, hurtful things come from the mouths and minds of those who are supposedly the best educated people in this country.

Exactly. Some people talk absolute trash.

People with autism can most definitely be difficult to live with (extreme in some cases, like possibly the kid in the OP) but that is a personal thing that should be the parents business and up to social services, etc. to deal with.

Anyone who has no clue about it should not be judging. At least try to understand it first.

I think I'll leave this thread alone.

Please don't I think you actually have valuable insight into the discussion
(more than most )

And the dons aren't total dicks if you do lose your temper and post something that is outside the rules because of emotion many will edit it for you and not punish you, Werewolf is the best example for this i can think of he does seem very fair and willing to waste his own time because of our **** ups :)

Suffice to say the "retard" would have had no idea why he had a broken jaw, or any idea why he was assaulted, or what he did wrong, the only person who would have gained anything from the whole sorry (hypothetical) affair would be the big man who punched a disabled youth.

I agree totally. Although I would add the question of weather gain was worth the loss.

Im not saying all autistic people are like this, merely that person in question is. If he doesn't understand the consequences of his actions, he cannot be trusted not to repeat it in future.

Ahh man! Don't listen to him!

We need a few people to bring the tone down else everyone will be so uptight.. :)

I've enjoyed your spamming and trolling so far :D

Dude it's all very well enjoying his spamming and trolling but then it's him that will get into trouble not us, he's not here to entertain you !, if you want your own personal jester then I can offer my services @ £100 an hour, no prodding though.

I dont think anyone with kids could disagree with you. I would have done exactly the same.

Really, I guarantee there is people with kids that would disagree, I have two little brothers and I certainly wouldn't of 'smashed him in the face' knowing he was autistic.

eh?
since when were you judge and jury of this forum?
I dont see a problem with what he / she said, its the posters opinion and relevent to the discussion.

if alchohol and drunkeness isn't an excuse. Autoism and other bs diseases shouldn't be either imo.

being drunk doesnt stop you knowing that wrong is wrong. the level of autism that this person had meant that they DID NOT know that it was wrong.

but certain drugs can influence right and wrong, but these aren't taken into consideration afaik.

fact is hes stamping on babies heads, hes got issues which general public shouldn't have to deal with. Should be locked up in a asylum.

But 99.9% wouldn't know he was austistic. You're skewing your image of what you think should happen with what would really happen in a coffee shop.

I really don't see why what he said is out of line tbh. The baby could easily have been scarred/disfigured for life, or worse killed. It’s physically, emotionally and financially hard work raising a child, one the hardest and most important things a person will ever do. I don't see why a family should risk having it ****** up by a boy that's clearly out of control, for what ever reason.

Thing is, he isn't out of control or else he wouldn't have been in the coffee shop in the first place, he would have been at home with his mum. It's an isolated but admittedly tragic incident.
