Yup that time of the year agian, new year and a new pre season, so whos who and where you playing :D

Im padding back up for another run out at Manchester Titans. see if i can keep in one piece long enough to get some game time in this year after a two year break.

PLEASE anyone who thinks american football is a girly, slow or boring sport either step up and play (or try a training session) or take your views elsewhere.

Play at staffordshire surge, bad season last year hopefully much better this time around.

As above post, american football really is tough. Played lots of rugby at high school (we had to win county cup) and the hits are much much bigger. In my first game i got a lucky interception (was playing DL) only to be compltly anhilated yards later and i was 6ft 4in and 20stone.

EDIT- end of season do pics http://www.gallowtech.co.uk/TeamSurge/beer/eosd.asp i am the "rookie pint" guy :(

Nearest one is Plymouth.. it'd be nice to get into something different but I've no idea if I'd be any good!

Definately not as a running back, anyway :p

simple then el dazza go down and have run around with them, yesterday was my first session in nearly 2 years and it was a shock to the sysytem, but im still surprised at the size of the smaller guys turning up to play. and the fitness level of some others turning up (me included).

the one thing to remember is its pure amature here so most people do it for fun rather than looking to make a career or anything.

and now im off to find a pair of walking sticks as my legs are refusing to work :D

aye i can now walk up and down stairs :D

see how i do on wed evening when i go for a little jog/sprint session see if the legs work or not.

used to play for sussex thunder as OLine was great fun until I busted my ankle bad and never got back to playing, this was about 2 years ago, those were the days the brutal pre season 2 a day camp :)
