Hi all, ok Asda just rang the wife and said to her that a shop we got from them on 2nd January which amounted to £76 never went through as their payment system went down and they never recieved the money. They asked for the payment but as I had the card on me my Wife wasnt ablr to pay them, so they asked her to contact them to arrange payment. Should I pay them or just ignore them ? :D where do I stand legally if I dont pay up?

They messed up, just ignore them.

You've received goods but not paid for them (due to a processing problem that is neither your fault nor theirs). Why would you not want to pay for them - are you some kind of thief?

Cough up.

well look at your bank statement/credit card bill
if you haven't paid, pay. i you have, tell them where to go

be a great scam if it were true. How do they know you shopped there if the transaction didn't work?

Nom nom nom, what food?

Seriously though, double check it's not some scam first before paying it.

Just say you will wait till the end of the month for your statement & could they call you back then. If they dont you get it for free, if they do then just cough up.

Tell them that the woman behind the till told you "Every little helps!" and that you could have the goods for free.
