Just purchased the GoW1/GoW2/Halo3 bundle 'special' from a certain store and Mirrors Edge/CoD5 and checking the side of the box, it does say 0842. I know there is a way to check Arcades but what about my Premium?

Have a look at the power supply i think the jasper ones are 150watt rated

This is the easiest way to check,

Let us know :)

look on the back of your 360 if your Amp rating is 12.1A this indicates lower power requirements of Jasper chipset. if its 14.2A thats the older falcon chipset.

Bah, falcon. Got a bit excited over the 0842 bit. :) On the plus side...

Xbox 360,
GoW 1,
GoW 2,
Halo 3,
CoD 5,
Mirrors Edge,
Xbox Live Gold,
HDMI,
'High street store warranty'.

£323. :o:cool::eek:

Is that not quite expensive?

Premium £150?
GOW 1 £10
GOW 2 £25
Halo 3 £15
COD 5 £30
Mirrors Edge £15
Xbox Live £27
HDMI £5

Thats a rough price guide Id have thought...and thats sub £300

So-so.

Xbox was the 188 offer with GoW1/2 and Halo 3...CoD was 34 as it was pre-owned special edition, all they had and i wanted it today. Mirrors was £19 for me but another shop had it for 25! Live cost me a bit more, as did the HDMI...warranty was 22.99.

Whats the difference between all these different types ?

Mine looks like the falcon but instead of "12V - 14" its "12V - 16"

Motherboard revisions, internals moved around a bit, "smaller" CPU/GPU, different power supplies, and less chance of RROD (allegedly).

I think Microsoft dealt with the RROD very well,

They replace your xbox free of charge and the process is apparantly quite speedy nowadays.

the day MS get rid of the RROD is when the xbx 720 comes out, and then we might get the red sphere of death lol
I can imagine in the future - 2040 - People still making topics on OcUK forums:
"Argh! RPOD (Red Polygon of Death) again! Back to Microsoft!"

I think the process in place now is good, I dont think it was like that when it first started happening.

waiting upto 1 month is not great service, neither is the hassle of having it break down. or being without it. the best way to deal with it isto get rid of it.
