Yeah, the On Demand is getting much better. It was rubbish about a year ago, they had 1/2 Seasons and other such rubbish. Got lots of full seasons on there now though. Its what I mostly use the TV for now, been watching through Shameless, Seasons 1-6 are all there. :)

The Catch-Up TV is handy enough too, although mostly it seems to list utter rubbish like Celebrity Big Brother, and re-runs of Top Gear on BBC3. Its got iPlayer and 4oD listed for the last week too though, so there's enough good stuff there to kill an hour or so if you feel like just lazing in front of the telly.

+ not sure if the L package offers it (I have XL), but there's plently of other free content including hundreds of music vids etc..
music videos are only free if you have the top tv package.
sometimes some of the series are missing 1-3 episodes but that tends to be the american ones on HBO and the other USA tv on demand channels i suspect they stop virgin from having the whole series but often they will juggle around which ones are missing so its possible to catch them eventually.

I recently got the XL package (TV, Internet and Phone) with V+ box

The on demand stuff is great! Been on XL most of it it free only bits that aren't are the movies and the adult bits. Been working my way through the Shameless series....from the very beginning.

Also with the V+ box I never miss a programme...either I set it to record or if I have dash off mid program just hit the pause button. Also you get a few HD programmes on the On Demand...all the Blue Planet for example in HD, pay for movies in HD (usually £1 dearer than a normal movie).

I'm loving it atm, so much to watch :D

There's some pretty good series on the on demand stuff. Dexter, 24, all that sort of Jazz. My mum swears by it, being the busy lady she is. I don't watch TV but if i did, i'd get the OD package. I started watching Spaced when i was ill one time, they have every season.

Worth £15 for sure.

Out of interest does anyone know how much more time HD content uses on V+?

Does that make sense? You have 80 hours of TV but I am sure that HD must use up much more hard disk space and therefore more time. It must be 3-4 times more surely?

80 hours of sd or 20 hours of HD I believe. I love the on demand. The nipper whinned when we switched as it doesn't have as many music channels as sky, now she has discovered on demand music she is happy as larry, she just watches what she wants to watch.

Sounds about right that, thanks. I will have to tell the wife that her recording of Calendar Girls in HD is using 8 hours of V+. Oh well there could be worse things than HD Helen Mirren!
