OT, anyone able to post more than a few words, if i try to post a few lines (more than what im putting here), when i go to submit, i keep getting connection interupted, and i get the same if i ty to do it quickly by copying the post and pasting it into the box, then hitting submit lol.

Me too. Can't post anything over a few words.
 
They take less power and are clocked faster so the simple answer is yes they are better than 280's

BUT if they are worth the extra price premium is very much in doubt.
 
Around 10% faster over the 280, with more overclocking headroom thanks to the die shrink (somewhat offset by the new-look cooler).
