I am wondering if any of you can provide me with some links for some information I need to find out.

I need to find out the following information about airports/airfields for my work:

Standard/Required Buildings - for instance control towers etc.
Airfield Signs
Airfield Lighting Systems
Runway Markings and Area names
I also understand there are different ways to do pushbacks from the gate to the hold point, are these detailed anywhere?

Also if there are websites with images accompanying this info that will be a big help.

Basically I just started this new job last october where I will eventually be teaching how to setup models for flight simulators, thus I have to know everthing that needs to be at an airport to be able to create those models. Coming from a non aeronuatics position I need to find this info out. I have had a good hunt using google and am still looking but I know there are some pilots etc on these forums and just thought I would ask.

Sorry about not helping here but you have a job you don't know how to do and they can't train you so you're ...having to do it yourself?

:shocking:

Not you, the job...they should..help?

Actually they employed me for my knowledge of 3D modelling. They also liked the way I presented my self in the interview, as I was told it was for a postion doing models of airports etc but infact it was an instructor post to teach a new visual system they are bringing out. So I do have some experiance of what needs to go into an airport model but I need to go into the really indepth information on what goes into the models etc.

And the people here do know the information etc but you never know what someone else might be able to point you towards. For instance the people here have given me a lot of info but there arn't many images provided so someone might be able to point me in the direction of some.
