My Mini! (now owned for 4months - never did the new car thread)

:( Bideford sucks...too far North of the A30...although some good roads to get there. :D....I want my new car. :(

I'll work on a sig when I can be bothered...so expect one about this time next year. :p*

*I'll see what I can do in a sec.

It can probably still be read by the ANPR so they might not bother. That's the main reason they pull people for plates is when spacing and lettering has been tampered with. Otherwise they see it as trying to avoid the ANPR.

OK, picture this, you've been stopped for something the policeman has little evidence to do you for, and he's not happy about this, what do you suppose he will have to say about your plates?

Though a policeman taking minor but certain action against your plates may actually be better than him taking more serious but uncertain action against something else. So maybe it's an advantage?

I would leave the black plates, your mini even has the mk1 lights so it looks like it should have them anyway. I had black plates on my 1991 mini for about 2 years from when I was 17 and never once got stopped for them.
