Asus P6T Deluxe Setting

Hi all,

I have this board with 6GB RAM, Rampage 700 and and i7 processor.

I have all the settings at default ATM and was wondering if there is some info anywhere or if some other owners can give me some settings that I should be using.

I do notice when i boot up Marvell does not detect any drives, I assume I should turn Marvell stroage management off?

I turned off the 2 marvel controllers (storage & SAS), and the Asus gate thing that comes on as soon as you boot up.

Under Ai Overclock Tuner on the 2nd tab of the BIOS I selected the XMP (extreme memory profile), it sets your ram up with pre-determined settings. Once selected the XMP setting, I manually tweaked my timings to what my RAM is capable of. The XMP will also increase the QPI link speed.

I used SANDRA to benchmark the changes and it had increased my RAM bandwidth a fair bit.

You probably won't need the Marvell SAS controller enabled.

The other onboard Marvell storage device controls the IDE and eSATA, it depends on if you plan to use either of them I suppose.

My RAM is capable of 1600mhz, where do i change that once i set the XMP setting?

Its on the same tab, change the DRAM frequency.

LinPack or Prime95 are used for testing an Overclock. Realtemp for temps and CPU-Z for CPU validation.

I changed the Dram speed to 1600 then the PC would not boot. That too fast? I got the G Skill stuff
