January Transfer Window Thread - rumours and signings here

its a dead end for him for the length of his contract as well

next season is already written off as far as europe is concerned so theres a whole wasted season

and if things dont go as planned, nobody will be able to afford to match his current deal if he wants to get away

and assuming thing sdont go as planned next seaon and they are not top of the league after 10 games they will sack Hughes and the whole merry go round starts again

why buy a luxury player when your defense is broken in the first place? Kaka will be so far ahead of the rest of his team its not going to work..robihno hasnt hauled them up the league and I dont see how kaka will solve them shipping simple goals at the back

I think they have the money to go out and buy a couple of World class defenders as well tbh dude.

Kaka, Robinho at the club will start to attract better players, a couple of World class defenders and a decent Striker they will be a half decent team

How much will the world class defenders want paying a week?

Benitez could though. Not surprising he's stalling over a new contract given the amount of control he's being offered.

I'm fully expecting them to bid for one or both players in the summer.

I'd be suprised if he left. It may drag on for a bit but they'll reach some sort of agreement in the end; he wants to stay and they need him to stay to keep everybody happy. Your right about it not being a suprise that he's rejected the current offer though. All Parry's done is cause a mess of everything he gets involved in.

As for City bidding for Torres or Gerrard. It's certainly possible but i'd imagine they'll go after players from abroad and i doubt they're going to be making any more £50m+ bids either. Imo the Kaka signing is just so they can attract players in the future.

I'm not sure really. I've only seem him at the euros and he looked neat and tidy and did the simple things well

Don't think Finnan even played more than a few games at Espanyol, seems pretty weird to leave already without giving it a shot out there.

Great defender but time's caught up with him. Always a favourite of mine while at Liverpool but lost his legs and couldn't stay fit.

Should just give him full control over transfers and be done with it like they said they would do when they originally took over.

Right so exactly why you don't want Finnan? A player that had hardly featured for Espanyol due to injuries, who has reportedly failed the Hull medical.

You see?! :p
Because their defence is so bad a player that's injured all the time is an improvement on some of the fit (non gay sense) players they've currently got.

Lyon and Brazil striker Fred has revealed he is considering an offer from Premier League side Stoke as he seeks a way out of Stade Gerland.

"I can confirm I am considering a proposal from Stoke City. They are not Arsenal or Manchester United but they are still a good Premier League club.

"And at least they have shown me more respect with their offer than (Lyon president Jean-Michel) Aulas has made me at Lyon."

yes please!
