T-mobile G1 – The first of the Google Android Phones. A Review

I need some help. I have a text message from someone that I need to print off to be used for evidence in a work tribunal.

Anyone know how I can go about printing it off?

What are dirt cheap? The phone is free on contract and always has been.

If however you are referring to the monthly cost, then surely everyone on a T-Mobile contract should get a reduction in price?

Had a play with one the other day and was mighty impressed with the Android o/s but the phone itself looks and feels like a Fisher price toy tbqh. Wasnt at all impressed with the fugliness of the phone...id love to have an android phone but until they start coming out with stylish handsets....thanks but no thanks...id rather not be laughed at when people say...whats that you got?? the latest fisher price mobile phone:D:D:p

The G1 gets a hard press for the hardware. In reality, it is a damn good phone which is unfortunately fugly. It is still a very good phone which doesn't deserve the slating it receives repeatedly.

I've had mine some months now and still think it is bloody great.

I love whipping mine out (G1) and seeing people go "wtf is that? That is awesome..."

They have no idea but love it when I pull up the app list or slide out the screen. It's funny though, a mate of mine can see how good software wise the phone is... but is still holding off and waiting for the new Nokia... for no reason.

Oh well. Jokes on them cause this phone is free. I'm not paying for a phone and a contract.

should be getting a G1 off ebay yay.

i was wondering if anyone has bought any of the extended batteries and did you get much more usage from using it?

I've bought one of the 2400mAh batts. Lasts ages, but is so chunky it requires a different back be fitted.

I just take it out with me and use it if/when my other battery runs out.

connectbot and androidvnc installed i can now ssh and use vnc via a ssh tunnel, i'm in geek clover.
disappointed the email app wouldn't allow self singed ssl certs for my imap server though with the k-9 email client i got around that.
now if only there was a decent video player with flv support.
