Flickr vs Picasa vs ??

I need somewhere to store all my photos as I am sick of backing up to CD. What service is better? I plan on buying a DSLR pretty soon so the file sizes will be fairly large and I will be looking to upload at least a few pictures every week.

Photobucket & DeviantArt? DA is more of a portfolio though.

I use Imageshack for sharing photos. Works okay, and doesn't resize or compress the images. I really don't know how it rates for long term use, but I don't have any important pics in there...only the ones I share on forums.

Windows Live Photo Gallery. Can upload to a Live or Hotmail account, any resolution and get 25GB of free space.

The 25gb looks good but is it a viable solution to store all photos there ?

I guess with a paid service, then you have support should a file go walkies or something...

Im having the same dilema at the moment. Flickrs paid service looks superior to Googles additional storage.

I have now signed up to smugmug and uploaded some photos.

It is fantastic and there is even an iphone app and Picassa plugin for it too, not to mention a windows shell add on.

flickr pro (25 dollars a year) gives you unlimited upload space and bandwidth, pretty essential if you have a dslr
