Animation and Creative Arts

I have a question for some work that is really annoying me, it basically asks how is animation used for creative arts, I'm struggling to think of how animation ties into dancing, music, writing and photography.

Any ideas? or am I missing something incredibly obvious?

when they say animation do they not mean movement not the cartoony animation so to speak

Animation (i.e. the drawing) is a creative medium which puts it into the creative arts quite squarely, you can tie in all the above mediums you mention into animation. If it means animation in the sense of movement then it might be creative or it might not, you've also got the idea of animated expressions e.g. comic or tragedic etc.
