Lo folks,

I'm currently planning on buying a Nikon D80 in a couple of months but I'm a bit of a newbie with Digital Photgraphy. I have a high end point and shoot but that tends to make you a little lazy, it does a good job with just automatic settings.

I'm look for a decent book, there are dozens on Amazon but people on here usually seem to point folks towards the right products so I thought I would ask before I order one.

p.s. I know there are loads of free online tutorials but I aren't a big fan of reading from the PC or Laptop screen, I prefer to relax and take in a book.

Thanks for any recommendations.
Jon.

I have been looking for books too and have read many threads and forums that recommend the above 'Understanding Exposures' book. Will probably get that next but for now, just ordered the Digital Photography box set with volume 1 and 2 reduced at jungle.

Another vote for Understanding Exposure.
I thought I understood the basics and would be able to skim the first half of the book but right from the start its been teaching me new things and its a joy to read, highly recommended!
