My brilliant 2011-12 season just got better :D.

Capello got sacked after the Euro's and they offered me the England job! Now dividing time between club and country.

Plus, I managed to sell Andrey Arshavin back to Man City for double what I paid for him, and am currently in the process of completing a deal for Gary Cahill to bolster my defence. Still need to find a back-up RM and an LB though. Scouts have come up with very little on that front.

nice one mate esp on the england front, how much money you got leftfor the other positions
 
last game of the 09/10 season and could have came second in the league if i won. however chelsea are pounding me 3-0 while man utd are winning an easy game at reading :o

arghhh no. im actually going to come 5th now on goal difference. a win would have put me second too. close league this year for sure !

About 30 mil after Cahill who has now signed. Looking at Burdisso but Inter want 10mil for him :O and i'm also looking at Kuzmanovic and Skjelbred to tighten up the midfield but Fiorentina could well decide to slap hefty price tags on them too.

never bought kuzmanovic but hes looks a great little player looking at the stats, 10 mil i reckon is too much for burdisso plenty better for the price, maybe a player from brazil on the cheap :)
 
3rd season with boro and ive got 40 million transfer money :eek:

having problems buying anyone though because man city have made everyones prices silly high. for example they paid 27 million for michael owen :/ and want 36M from me for richards.

need to strengthen my defence really. got no backups and the first team isnt even that strong. my keeper is 36 too so porbably needs replacing soon

And I think we had a question or two about the whole spreading payments for a player over 6, 12, 18 or 24 months and how much cash you needed at the time of the transfer to allow the transfer to go ahead. Well I've found a definite answer. :)

When you sign a player for a fee over 24 months, 18 months, 12 months, or 6 months, half the fee is immedietly taken from your transfer budget. The rest of the fee is taken out over the said time. Due to this, you must have at least half of the fee paid over a time, aswell as everything else included in the transfer. An example is signing Ever Banega for £2mil upfront, £10mil over 24 months, and 25% sell-on. You must have the £2mil upfront, and half of the £10mil (£5mil) that you agreed to pay over 24 months. The other £5mil will be paid over 24 months.

Whilst you'd definitely get him for £75m try £20m or so and keep bidding upwards until you get accepted. That £75m seems very similar to the Spanis way of having extortionate minimum release fees of £300m+. It is just designed to stop any clubs bidding but in reality a club would accept a lower bid, sometimes, for a player. I'd probably never sign Torres from Liverpool as Man Utd even if I offered £100m simply because of the rivalry between the two clubs. :p
 
is Nordtveit a player you would consider signing for a team challenging for a champions league position this year? i'm in two minds about him
 
Might restart a new game soon, i seem to get bored when i hit 2012ish :( might see how this season goes, even restart with Fulham, again :p

sell all english players with a clause X after X int appearances. sub ur players on in friendlies for 2 mins and watch the money roll in :eek:

i havent got that far yet just started my first ever season with villa. £5m only ¬_¬ WTF...
 
while regens are been mentioned ive just had a 15yr old goalkeeper come into my u18s who is nearly as good as my first choice keeper :eeek: 20 aerial ability and 15+ for everything else keeper related
 
if you have a great fitness couch these new regens will be worth a million or so each as well which is good money for a club who need money. i have 3 or 4 players come join as aprentices worth around a million and can sell them for around that plus get clauses for when they make it big

thats too good a league to start again lol, im waiting on the new patch for a long term save till the next game is out lol

Yeah, maybe. I'm still top 10, and in knock out stages of EURO and Qtr/Semi League Cup. Might keep it going, starting to get to stage where players i don't play, but don't wanna lose...are coming out of contract, but will try get them to sign & ship them off.
 
Update on my game, i lost to Arsenal in the League Cup final.

I'm in the second knockout round in the EURO Cup, lost 3-2 in the first, so hopefully sneak this one.

Also in 6th round of FA Cup, but its against Liverpool and im 10th in the league, but two games in hand, which could put me 7-8th.

Will update again later :).

Oh and Martins has found form this season =/

30 games gone, hes scored 29 and the next scorer is on 18! Hes scored 29 in 23 apps in league :/.

Newcastle currently 4th too.

thats pretty good for oba lol i carnt seem to get my strikers to score a lot at all, they were supposed to be looking into for the next patch
