Okay, this problem has been driving me nuts. I just cannot get freetrack to work in FSX. From everything I read it should be as simple as enabling the SimConnect - FSX output in the options. I've done that.

However I don't seem to have SimConnect installed. It doesn't appear on the add/remove programs list. Is there anywhere I can get the installer for this or should it have just installed automatically?

Using FSX with SP1 btw.

Google, please ;)

FWIW, SimConnect is a default part of FSX. The tool above allows you to alter the config, try the TrackIR bit in there.

I've already tried that. Doesn't seem to make any difference. I've tried and tested my googling skills as far as they can go and still no luck. Main reason I got FSX was to have a flightsim that used 6dof with my freetrack.

Fixed it!

I had to install the SDK from the DVD then search through it until I found the simconnect.msi and install that. Now it works flawlessly :)
