yes what happened to the old lady was terrible and i would not wish it on anyone.

but the killing the budgie is something which would turn up in a comedy movie,

e.g. Killing the dog in a fish called wanda

the guy eating the the guys pet in a fish called wander

the guy eating the dog in peep show.

the daily mail wasnt up in arms over them

Exactly, in a movie. This is real life and an elderly women who will have loved those birds has been made to watch them have their necks broken whilst being robbed. So lets all have a LOLOLOL about this funny situation. An old women gets robbed and her pets get killed - oh i'm in stitches.
 
Of course no-one on here has ever told or laughed at a joke about the Mccans, or one of the shuttle disasters, or the xmas tsunami. No, because we are all angels and the stewards of moral standards............

Come on guys lighten up, its the harshest thing but the budgie thing is just odd and when i saw the headline : Burglars kill pensioner's budgie a part of me did have a tiny chuckle until i went on to read the story...
 
I doubt the OP would have found it funny if the burglars had killed the ladies pet dog or cat if she had one of those instead of a budgie. It's still a pet and she must have grown very attached to it.

the only amusing thing is that it reminds me the scene in dumb and dumber with the blind child petting the budgie with the taped on head, other than that these people are a waste of oxygen.

Exactly, imagine if it was one of the cute little kitties or puppies that so often get posted in here. It would a hanging offence then. :eek:
