Where is DX10, DX10.1 etc

Hello,

Where is Direct X 10 ? I think we been on DX 9.0c for years now. I have tried the beta of windows 7 and it is dx 11 so is there going to be a dx10 or dx10.1 which my ati4850 boasts it is ready for

It's part of Vista.

directx 10 is vista, you cant use directx 9 on vista

Yes you can and you need to. You need to install dx9 on vista to run lots of games properly.
