I'm currently researching an Audi TT 3.2 V6 after eidolon suggested it.

What are peoples thoughts on the DSG?

Also what are the things to watch out for on these? Looking at spending around £10-11k

I have a 1.8T 180 Leon already and would like the smoothness of a V6

Other things I want is black leather yet a lot of them about seem to have cream leather - yuck!

Are Xeons etc standard?

I was looking at the R32 which I still love, however they are over valued.

DSG has its pros and cons, golden rule is the ONLY way you know how you will find it is to test drive each.

Although its regarded that the V6 isn't mated very well to it, has been known to be a bit iffy in the low rev range i.e. stop start town traffic and of course prone to its own *possible* faults such as a manual would be to its own.

As for the car, just look out for all the usual.

Yes, I much prefer driving a turbo to a N/A

I'd get the QS and remap the mofo to 280bhp straight off

Fair enough. I am quite young myself and understand the appeal of a turbo. Little effort for brutal acceleration. A lot of people would still prefer the V6 though. It's like comparing Guinness to Stella. A lot smoother and a lot more character :D

Not going to lie the remap sounds fairly brutal :)

Actually driving them shows you are wrong.

It's hardly an amazing handling car in the first place really is it?

I was under the impression that the 1.8t was just as quick ( if a little less refined) in standard form, and the v6 maimed what little handling it had.

Were all 3.2s quattro?

It strikes me as a similar situation between the mk2 mondeos 2.0 and 2.5.
