So, i'd been told by T-Mobile i could upgrade early if i went into the shop today, this is about two or three months earlier than it should be, fair enough - i thought, this should be simple and it wont cost me a great deal.
Now to start the story, if i was a completely new customer i could purchase a contract, get a G1 for £30/18 months, working out at around £540 for the eighteen months.
I'm actually on a £37.50 contract, yet was told they would set up a new one - which i would have to pay ALONGSIDE my current deal, so that would be £67.50 per month, and that my upgrade allowance wanst all ready, so i'd have to pay £179.99 for the handset!
So, if i'm a new customer... i get the phone for an effective £540
If i'm a customer who's been with them a while, i get the £540, £112.50 for the rest of this contract and £179.99 for the handset, which is around £830.
What logic does this follow, surely the guy made a mistake, or am i the one thinking wrong?
