Kuro Blacks

Mine's pretty similar to be fair, the room I have it in at the moment is quite dark though so the brightness is on -10. Put it on low due to letting it run in a bit, it looks good though.

OMG brightness on -10, that is just mad, surprised you can see anything.

+1 is the correct idleing level for the set, so you get the maximum amount of detail with the great blacks. -10 is bonkers, haha crank it up to at least 0.

I have the lighting behind, but +1 still gives me perfect blacks in a pitch black room :p

That pic on the original post is on -10 brightness. Looks fine to me

calibrate the picture to suit yourself, sometimes reference settings can be overated ...everybody has different surroundings and light etc

same goes for calibrating receivers to a certain extent, definitely use a SPL to manage output levels but also your ears versus Audyssey etc

great screens though, the 60" Kuro will be mine once the prices drop a little more ....50" is too small :)

Trust me it's soo way off from any where near accurate.I mean way way off.

Even at 0 I can see less detail than at +1. Obviouslywe all prefer different looks, but youareloosing out on soo muchof thefamed kuro balck detail with itlikethat.

O god this keyboard fails.

But the detail manm the detial :p

Bumtious was showing me when I had my demo, and even though their 5090 was only about 20hrs old at the time, the difference between black detail at 0 and +1 was massive.

Try it and get used to it, the 9G owners use those bumtious settings for a reason :)
