Truthfully - How much debt do you have?

£3400ish on card (about £2200 is on a o% for 13 months card... will hopefully be paid off by the end of the year).

£150k on my mortgage

I have £242k in mortgages, but other than that virtually no debt. And this is offset with over double that in assets.
Current account is £900 O/D
About £1500 on a credit card

But those are just floating balances and are in no way debt.

In that case awesome going..
Must be nice not to have mortgage or rent..

It is very nice. We planned for it a few years ago and benefited from the rising house market on 2 properties (1 after the other, not at the same time) and managed to build a nice house here in France and buy a decent car ('05 Mondeo TDI) on the profit + around £16k to re-buy some of the furniture and to cushion our business start-up.

I'm married and we have a 3 year old daughter and I'm 34 in case anyone wondered ;)

I have to say some of the quoted figures here frighten me, I hope you all manage the debts successfully.

Well, as of today 300 people are indebted to me. I signed up to Zopa and loaned out £3000 (no more than £10 per borrower to spread my risk) - expecting an average of about £25pm interest (after bad-debts and Zopa's annual 1% fee).

By the time I have finished Uni it will be about 20k to pay back. I've got just over 5k I need to put aside in a savings account though. Still a big negative though :(

Car loan of around €10000. But I have 4 years left, so the repayments are small, and would probably be just about manageable if I found myself on the dole. That said, I could always just sell it!

Saw all this coming over a year ago and sorted out everything else. Canceled all silly insurance policies, and shopping around for cheaper utilities. Now I never go into overdraft, even if I have to eat mud. I think there's around €5 left on the plastic. Learned my lesson with that, now I never use the credit card until I load it up first.

Won't be even thinking of a mortgage until house prices sort themselves out. Could be years away!

Going out on saturday means i loaned £20 off the bank of mum and stuck on the 99p bottles of san miguel all night. Only because i don't often get sunday off work and i was skint.
So £20 which i shall repay on friday when i get paid.
