Brightest star in the sky is Venus... it's also usually the first star to appear and last one to disappear.
So could anyone tell me what planet/star this is? I'd research it but I'm not up on astronomy so I wouldn't know what I was looking for.

I thought it was two planets in alignment which is quite rare. Actually I think it's just Venus.

Nemesis is a hypothetical red dwarf star or brown dwarf, orbiting the Sun at a distance of about 50,000 to 100,000 AU, somewhat beyond the Oort cloud. The existence of this star was postulated in an attempt to explain an inferred periodicity in the rate of biological extinction in the geological record.
