Anyone know where I can buy a Volvo 940 alternator near Basildon in a hurry?

I've just broken down and the RAC have towed me to my hotel (The Travel Inn on Five Bells Roundabout just off the A13) and in the morning want me to buy an alternator for them to fit.

Where would be the recommended place that's likely to have one in stock and not charge me a fortune, preferably a recon jobbie where they will take my old one off me in exchange, alternatively a scrapyard unit would be fine if you can recommend a nearby scrap yard. The car only needs to last me another month or so.
 
Go to google maps, type in "car breakers in bristol"

change bristol for wherever you are...

Ring breakers and ask if they have any 940's...

Profit!
 
Seems 940 alternators are like hens teeth, however I did manage to find one. Posting this from back home in Wales with a 740 diesel alternator bodged to fit my 940 petrol. Works fine. £35. Bargain! Yay for the RAC giving me a lift and checking out the available parts to make sure I got a good one, top notch service there!

Oh and of the 6 scrappies in Basildon, 1 of them have a broken phone and 4 of them only do Fords!
