did anyone watch this.

How the hell did that Ian Pegler ever get in a position to run a company. What a freaking idiot.. Wants fireworks on a £6 menu.
Not sure Heston Blumentha is taking it the right way either. He's right in taking it to English classics. but they don't need a twist.

get pots and pans back in the kitchen and server traditional English menus. like all day breakfast, steaks, lasagne, currys, stews, hotpots, salads and the like. Just use some decent ingredients and more importantly cook it properly.

But again that Ian Pegler what a ****** idiot..

Yeah. Ian Block came across as a spoilt child. The wife (who used to manage at a Little Chef) was in stitches when he wouldnt give out the Gross Profit figures.

Yeah I thought that, the guy wants his help yet aint willing to tell him the facts and figures. I mean the idea of bringing all those crazy meals was never really going to work, but just making the current meals better is the best option imo.

It was just some of the "management" speak that he was coming out with, what was one of the things he said, we want to take your ideas and make them explode onto a plate or something.

Also going on about blue sky ideas all the time, completely missing the point that blue sky ideas are largely impractical and pointless.

Just goes to show, spout enough management babble to other like minded individuals and you to could rise to run a large multi-million pound company and wreck it.

the boss guy said somthing like
"i'm just salvating thinking at the thought of his dishes he will create"

if he's knows what he wants enough to salvate about it then why doesnt he get into the kitchen?

Did you see the Little Chef management team sitting around the table........what an uninspiring bunch of bottom dwelling self appreciating over paid dimwits.

No wonder the company is on its way down.

and how are you going to crate dishes like that for £6...

TBH little chef needs to go down the drain it's an embarrassment. it wont recover. It would cost to much to redo the kitchens. either they need to change it into a fryup truck stop or close.

Agree on some points. Ian is clearly a prat notably when firstly cutting the call, then trying to come on all critical when tasting Heston's new menu.

However, I don't know what Heston was thinking trying to introduce such an off-beat menu to a place like Little Chef. Surely he would be better off sticking to classic dishes cooked properly and maybe with a small twist; something that the greasy spooners that seem to frequent Little Chef wouldn't immediately frown upon. His two chefs also came across as unnecessarily arrogant.

I'm sure there is more to come but IMO Gordon Ramsay would do a much better job at this.
