Coming home not too long ago from the shop (needed cigs), some granny came down the wrong way on a one way street AND turned into the wrong side of the road, this at 12:45AM, she looked quite shocked and disoriented to say the least (as probably i did :D ) then had the gall to blow her horn for like 10 seconds until i slipped into a parking bay and let her go, she then turned off into a side road and disappeared. weird experience to say the least :confused: I've got her plate number, if i called the plod is there anything they can do? i'm sure theres witnesses as other cars were honking at her.

Well arent you the most helper poster of today.

Well what is there to say? No the police won't do anything, yes it's a bit random - thanks for the info and move on etc. Saying "It's all your fault because you're a smoker" is helpful, guy needs all the help he can get, guilt works!

Call the Police and describe what happened. That could've been a road full of school children.

If she genuinely was a doddery old bat, she might me convinced she's an awesome driver and there's nothing wrong with her skills but needs telling otherwise by a friendly visit from the police. If she made a genuine mistake, then fair enough.

yesterday i was in my boss's car on the way to tesco, and a gran in a micra slipped onto a pretty busy roundabout without even glancing to the right, about 5 cars (including us) had to slam on the brakes.

she was infront of then all the way to tesco, where she ran through 3 red lights and 2 zebra crossings (with people crossing!)

That sounds like a person who needs to be banned!

(her from driving, not you from the forum)

probably a smoker, still, not for much longer!

I was going around the inside of a roundabout yesterday and an old geezer in a Citroen ZX in the outside lane didn't seem to notice me right next to him and seemed to be moving closer and closer despite his exit requiring moving left. I had to slow down to avoid being squashed into the roundabout island and it was particularly alarming as I had my girlfriends nephews in the back! Much honking the hooter came as a result of this.
