Obama hysteria

The problem wasn't so much that he didn't stop 9/11, it's that he completely messed up America's response. Invading Iraq to stop Islamic terrorism is one of the dumbest military moves of the United States' history, especially when you're already involved in a tough war in Afghanistan.

Not really, it probably stopped many terrorists going to America, because instead they were at home defending there homeland.

Be glad that we don't have John McCain, who apparently openly admitted that he 'doesn't really understand economics'!
yeah but it wouldnt be him who was making up the policies, just some other people who would be tooled up to know what to do.

He was elected because of his skin color, sorry to say, no media coverage that i have seen has been based on policies, just YEAHHHH MR BLACK IN DA HOUSE etc....

He will be better than what is in power at present

Nah he was elected because McCain was so crap :p

How many of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqi?

Not sure, don't think any were? But the point is it would have stopped Islamic terrorists from all over the Middle East from travelling west to blow themselves up. They'd rather defend there brothers in Iraq against the evil Americans. Hence why there was various Jihad movement etc during the Iraq war.

You dont know what your on about. Invading made them angry and made there be more terrorists.

I love how they say that this election proves that USA is no longer racist because 50% of the white people voted for a black man. They forget to mention that 90% of the black people voted for a black man, so racism is still alive and well; just now it's black people being racist against white people.

RACE IS NOT THE ONLY FACTOR IN A VOTE!!:mad:

Suicide bombers/missions are nigh on impossible to counteract, and if you do manage to act in time you get all the human rights nutters on your arse for shooting first.

Yes, but this was not a typical suicide bomber. This was a hijacking.
Hijackings should be preventable, by you know having the pilot door being locked and closed, and proper security scans at airports. (why is is that El Al has not had a single incident since they introduced good security measures many years ago, despite being the biggest target)

I never said it wasn't, my point is that the black vote is far more biased towards Obama than the white vote - you you look at past elections the dem:rep black split has never been that high compared to the white dem:rep split, so race must be a factor this time.

Yes Bush is a bit of 'tard, but I'd like to know how anyone could protect against what happened on 9/11. Suicide bombers/missions are nigh on impossible to counteract, and if you do manage to act in time you get all the human rights nutters on your arse for shooting first.

The Bush administration had received plenty of warnings from various intelligence agencies (some foreign; some domestic) which advised that terrorists had been planning to use commercial planes as weapons. These warnings included references to similar attempts around the world. Several such attacks on the US had already been intercepted in previous years; one as recently as 1996.

If the Yanks had tightened up their air security (as they were repeatedly advised to do), the attacks could have been avoided.

I can't wait for the next few years, primarily just to see the smug smiles wiped off the faces of those that are fawning over the new messiah when they finally realise he is just as useless as the rest of them..

Exactly. I see this whole Obama panto as the exact same thing the UK bought into with 'new labour'.

The general public got so run down and fed up with the current government and leader they would almost vote in anyone with a catchphrase. A younger looking politician.

The words don't have to mean anything you just say them often enough. All you have to do is end every speech with "In the greatest nation in the world" and they whoop whoop it up.

If I was Iran right now, I'd start seriously pushing my luck. Safe in the knowledge this new guy is not going to want to get involved in anything remotely confrontational for a good while ;)

So basically they'd vote in a monkey... (and before some smartass jumps on me for being racist, I'm not)

Was the so-called black vote as prominent before Obama?

Obama finally gave black people a true political icon (i.e. an actual American politician, not civil rights activist or whatever), a candidate worthy of support and representation.

Can't blame them for responding so enthusiastically when voting.
