I might watch as I've never actually watched one before, but excited by the prospect of what he'll do in office.

Lets predict the speech he'll give, ermm... "change change, changity change, ch..ch.change, changey changey change".

Other than the same liberal plans every other candidate(including the republicans) came up with for, massive switch to renewable sources by 2054 or some ridiculous date, I've still had no clue from what he's said WHAT he actually wants to change in his time in office or how he's going to do so.

Also in general, change costs money, and with their government, just like ours, heavily in debt and getting in deeper to bailout the banks and other business's, where will all the money for his changes come in.

Most left wing person ever in american history, was voted in on one winning platform, not being republican, wasn't a massive victory or a landslide. In previous elections never has a party stayed in power with such a poor approval rating before, it really wouldn't have mattered if Brown was the head of the democratic party right now, he'd have won aswell.

DO I have high hopes for a guy that was voted in, because he wasn't the other guy, and nothing remotely to do with his platform which even the guy himself can't seem to tell us what it is. nope.

The question is, if someone does pop him off during the ceremony, will someone yell out Boom Headshot and how long will it take the video to hit youtube.

Was absolute rubbish, ALL they talked about in the commentary was BLACK BLACK BLACK. FFS we know he's the first black president we have EYES.

I think he told the americans what they needed to hear, and the speech was a good one imo. The commentary wasn't great unfortunately, partly due to the media hype and the point of race being brought up so much (like above).

If anything, Obama has certainly laid down the challenge, and he has a lot to deliver. I'm excited to see where this will go, and I shall remain faintly optimistic until I have reason to doubt his leadership.

The Sky News commentary was pretty good, didn't really say anything except point out who was on screen etc. Which is better than offering some token "insight" and blabbering about first black president.
