Is is possible to connect 2 PS3s via wireless peer to peer with a TV each and then play 2 v 2 COD4 or COD:WAW?

If you connect two playstations to the same network then host a private online game the other PS3 can connect and recieves the same sort of pings you would from a LAN game.

So yeah, effectively you can LAN but you need a router of some form to connect them together i guess, never tried connecting them directly.

The whole 2 players per console thing is possible but only with certain games, Resistance 2, Motorstorm: Pacific rift and warhawk would all allow it.

This. Ive also done it with upto 4 consoles.
