it is pretty young that my best ever defence record on here was 17 all season with barcelona in all competitions, hopefully yours will turn into a mean defence.
seem to of turned around my bad run with 4 wins in a row. still sitting down in 12th though which is rather poor considering my board gave me 50m for transfers in the summer
my players seem to not hate me anymore though which i guess can only help!
lol and ive just started on the new 9.3 beta as Leeds with a pittance of 100k lol

Nice Mikgriff! Awesome feeling that isn't it. Wish I could be bothered to do it again but I'm never going to match my Hyde game so I've just started a new one with Arsenal.
Brought in Arshavin, Naldo, Moutinho and Veloso with Adebayor going to City for £23.5m. Nearly got Henry for £13m but suddenly had £10m disappear out my kitty so couldn't afford it anymore.
Got quite a sexy system going with Veloso playing a holding role, Fabregas and Moutinho with free attacking roles as a flat 3 in the centre of midfield. Dominate possession in games but struggle to convert chances. Need a striker as Van Persie just keeps getting injured. He's been injured in each of my first five games. Ridiculous. Only got £5m though so it could be a long season... Van Persie, Vela, Bendtner all injured and I only play one striker!
By the way with assistant feedback, do they ALWAYS say that your attackers are getting outnumbered when you have one up front?

After bringing in a few 1st team players to be squad players (Ross Wallace, Valencia etc)
I went on a 16 game winning streak which stuck me straight up into the league leader spot with 2 games in hand, that was followed by a massive slump in form and have dropped back down to around 6th
Spent about £15m on very promising youngsters, I'm about to use Tugs training, anything else I can do to spur the development of these youngsters along?

Good training, and (more importantly) give them plenty of time playing first team football (though obviously not all at the same time and not in must-win matches). Sending them out on loan works as well but only if the team you loan them out to are playing a good level of football and only if they say the player will be a valuable member of the first team.

make sure you have 7 star coaches and set each one to a specific role, i.e shooting coach etc

Though, having 7 star coaches isn't important. Players will improve at exactly the same speed as long as each training workload is on 'light', all the star ratings for coaches mean is the number of players they can train before the workload moves onto medium or heavy, i.e. a 7 star coach can train a lot more players than a 1 star coach.

The second season couldn't of got off to a better start but Ive just had some bad news. Ronaldo injured for 5 months (Dec atm). He was in great form too, scoring 14 goals from 16 appearances.
Also, a 16yr old keeper Im trying to complete from Newcastle, hes costing me £10m. £5m now and £5m over 12 months. He only wants £28k p/w!

it ill give them a star system, if you go into training and coaches, each coach will be given more stars for the better coach they are.
Too right lol when Given and Owen leaves they are well and truely going to struggle.

problem is that since im only boro i cant sign anyone great with the money anyway. and everyone whos between good and great gets signed by man city or chelsea
chelsea have van der vaaart sitting in the reserves valued at 4.5 million at the moment. going to try and buy him i think

just offloaded alves so have money to spend again now in jan window :/ will probably buy a defender or striker to cover. the problem is that if i buy anyone good then they just moan about not playing enough. ala alves and ruud van

Ive been resisting the urge of spend huge on a player (£35m+) but Im thinking of replacing Berbatov at the end of the season. Im thinking Bojan, Pato or Benezma...
