im getting tired of wow and as my subscription just ran out i decided to give warhammer a try, while i was ordering it tho i saw the conan collectors edition for only £10 so i bought that too :p

i just wanted to know what to expect from them? is conan as hard to run as it looks? i plan to install that one first so if it wont run as well as i want then i can just go over to warhammer

this is the system i plan to play them on

Intel Core 2 Duo E8600
Nvidia GTX280
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio
Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX
Asus P5Q Deluxe
Corsair HX 620W Psu
120gig Maxtor SATA
300gig Maxtor SATA

do you think ill be able to max warhammer with this pc?

You'll probably need to keep the antialiasing down to x4 for the bigger RvR battles in Warhammer, but otherwise, yep, no problem. Conan, no idea what it runs like these days.

I think conan has been patched or is soon to be patched up for dx10 support so it should look better now.

I play conan and with my current setup i get outdoors 60 fps and indoors anything up to 200 fps, all settings at max, 1400x900 and 8x AA.
Conan has had a lot of updates and tweaks since release, graphically i think its the best looking mmo out there right now next to lord of the rings online.
And it will look even better once DX10 patch comes out but it already looks amazing :)

Conan isn't the best performing game, but for what it's worth it's a very fun game with great dialogue while it lasts. I hear it's leaped major hoops since a month after it's released when i stopped playing.

Conan was better than Warhammer imo, Hopefully Darkfall will do what Conan should have done.

looks like i wont be getting them until tomorrow now

annoying because i selected next day delivery, the order was placed at 1:35 and there is a disclaimer on the site i bought them from saying

"* Please order before 2pm to ensure in-stock items are sent today. Monday to Friday only."

when i called them today i was told that i placed my order too close to the deadline  i suggested that they change the deadline and i was told its nothing to do with them because they dont work at the warehouse

then when i said i hay spent the extra for next day delivery i was told that there is nothing they can do because my order will still be sent by that method

i know this is nothing to do wiht you guys but i needed to have a rant about it :p

Both games showed great promise with my slight preference to WAR for the old DAOC community there and the RvR.

Both ran just about ok on my hardware and this in conjunction with beta pains in both games led me to only hold a short sub to either.

Might go back for a look at WAR sometime but Conan ain't for me.

I've had similar problems with OcUK before. It's highly irritating. Retailers really need to have some kind of slapping of wrists for this sort of thing.

Played conan when it launched, with my system (spec in sig) everything in-game maxed out at 1680x1050 i used to get 40-65fps outdoor and indoor well over 100. Don't know how it runs now though. I heard they will add the dx 10 thing soon so things might change.
